- On 31st January, 2011 we closed for good our gallery ~Isla Bonita~ in Braunschweig´s
Magniviertel.
- On 28th March 2009 we opened our new gallery at the new address Oelschlaegern 6.
- On 7th March 2009 we conducted „JAZZ&LIGHT” at the Arbaello with Alexander Hartmann’s
„solidjazz“. More than 30 guests enjoyed the culinary offers of the team of Arbaello,
the wonderful jazz performed by saxophon, guitar and bass and about two dozens of
„Luminarias“ by Ana Maia, lamps for interior decoration presented in the form of
an extravagant skyline of a Mega-City (like São Paulo?).
- In November 2008, on days 20 and 21, we had two nights with Brazilian Art. This was
the last time that we were able to conduct and host an event at the previous address
-Kuhstr.8- …. We were soon overwhelmed by the construction site ....
- On 16th November 2008 we took part in the arts fair Art Open in Eschweiler / Aachen.
In the town-hall in a more than 2,000 sqft hall we presented paintings from Yugo
Mabe, Adelio Sarro, Kenji Fukuda and Cabo as well as several lamps („Luminarias“)
of which most have been sold since.
- We also showed “Bonecas” and seven of our 19 large and outstanding wood carvings
(Mahagoni, Cherry) by E.Lufaac.
- Our third vernissage took place on June 11th, 2008, this time to inaugurate the exhibition
“Ganz schoen naiv! / Quite naive!”. The vernissage was enriched by two authors reading
from their books, Brigitte Festerling and Oliver Wendt. This combination was received
very well by our guests, and we’ll certainly schedule something similar for future
events. Helfried “Helli” Hofmann took over at 9pm and added the musical dimension
to this cultural evening at our gallery ~Isla Bonita~.
- On the 1st of March 2008 took place the second vernissage titled „Simplesmente Abstrato!“
(Simply abstract), which had several visitors, despite the storm „Emma“, that threatned
this region on that day. As usual we had the music of Heli Hofmann warming up the
atmosphere.
- On 15th December 2007 we conducted our first Vernissage „Impressões do Brasil“ in
our new gallery ‘Galerie ~Isla Bonita~’ . The event included live music, drinks and
snacks and was very well received.

and later art from other countries of South America.
- March 2003 - due to an assignment by Christian’s employer we move to Brazil to live
in São Paulo. By the end of 2003 we purchase already several beautiful paintings
